Starting on National Walking Day (Wednesday, April 6) the American Heart Association is holding a month long contest to get Waccamaw residents moving!
Our goal is to reach 50,000 minutes of physical activity in the Grand Strand region through the month of April. You can help by adding your minutes to the total.
How to participate:
1. Take a heart-healthy walk, attend a yoga class, play a pick up game of basketball or another physical activity.
2. Donate your minutes of activity to the Waccamaw total by posting them on Instagram and Twitter using #WaccamawLaceUp or tagging American Heart Association – Waccamaw on Facebook.
3. For every 30 minutes of physical activity that you complete and share on social media using #WaccamawLaceUp you’ll be entered into a weekly drawing for a gift card to Black Dog Running Company.
