Keep reading for a review by one of our customers, Chris Herath: “I initially tried Tailwind because I couldn’t find any traditional methods of taking calories which didn’t make me sick during a long event such as an Ultra-marathon. I tried gels and bites and after awhile I had no appetite for them during a long effort. While exercising, I have no issues taking in fluids which is where Tailwind is so valuable to me. It just mixes with your drink, so as long as you are drinking you are staying hydrated as well as gaining electrolytes and calories. You also get the option of caffeinated and non-caffeinated flavors. I typically start a race with some caffeine if it’s an early race, and then move towards the non-caffeinated as the event progresses. Maybe the biggest thing for me though is that it tastes great to me. I have tried the raspberry buzz (caffeine), tropical buzz (caffeine) lemon, orange, and the naked which virtually has no taste. I have run 2 marathons, and 5 50k’s using only Tailwind and have not suffered from any bonking or stomach issues. So many things are out of your control during a race, why not make sure you have complete control of your nutrition.”
